Foer 7 Farms believes chickens need to be chickens. After brooding, chickens are moved to pasture and rotated daily. Here they are free to scratch and peck, which allows them to receive a more rounded diet from the native grasses and Texas bugs. Their diet is supplemented with organic soy free grains.
Due to the nature of our small batch processing, our meat chickens are in limited quantities to allow for the highest form of care from field to finish!
Chickens are processed on farm by hand, cooled immediately, and put on ice for 24 hours to rest before packing and freezing. Our process helps keep the integrity of the meat, making the bird more tender, and in our opinion more flavorful.
They are shrink wrapped, weighed, and labeled before heading to the freezer. Your whole chicken will be frozen upon pickup or delivery.
